[News for 2004]

December 20, 2004

Updated the CFP's, my C/V, and my biography. For the CFP's, look for a "new" one for an anime and manga-specific panel (many of you may have seen it last year for the same conference). I added two more paper presentations on my C/V, and a little "fun fact" about me in my biography.

Updated the CFP's; note the extended deadline for the SEAES conference, now at December 10th.

I am pleased to announce that I have now attained guest status at both Techwood Con 2 and the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention, or MTAC Go. To polish my own apple even more, you can now view my new con-related mini-biography at Anime-Cons.com

Also, I am waiting to hear back from the editors of a new handbook on educational foundations research on whether or not a chapter I have submitted on the methodology I use in my work will be accepted for publication. *fingers crossed*

Updated the CFP's - 2 more for the Cultural Studies Association and the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts. I am now scheduled to complete my dissertation prospectus by January 10, 2005, and to defend it in front of my committee during the last week in January.

I have been accepted to present at the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association conference in March 2005! My updated C/V now reflects this.

I have also added a new CFP for the First International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry. I deleted the PCA/ACA CFP since the deadline expired today.
